Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, old as the day is long phrase, but sometimes we simply miss the beauty in the things around us. That is definitely one thing I have learned while owning a vintage clothing online store and more importantly a physical storefront in Auburn, AL. While customers browse through the store, looking at the racks of some of the most gorgeous vintage dresses, casual dresses and some just for costume wear, overlooking the beauty of the garment. I just love when the customers try these dresses on, for some reason it is like the history comes "alive"! The ladies walk out of the dressing room and are simply amazed at how awesome it looks on them, and love it! Some times we simply cannot see what beauty a dress has until it has a person in the dress.
While owning Sydney's Vintage Clothing store in downtown Auburn, Al, I have met quite a few tourists, Auburn football fans, and locals. Today I want to introduce to you a local, college student that is extremely talented, Mary Beth Manifold , I have had the privilege of Mary Beth coming to my store and using her talent with a fantastic model wearing vintage clothing. I was so excited to see her work, using vintage dresses & prop pieces from the store. But let me tell you once I saw the outcome of what her eye saw behind that camera, beauty is definitely in the eye of the Camera Holder! (and yes she was working with a gorgeous model), Mary Beth knew just how to put everything together! WOW! Right now Mary Beth is scheduling appointments if you would like to have your beautiful photographed, tell her that Sydney sent you!
